A religião muçulmana tem crescido nos últimos anos (atualmente é a segunda maior do mundo). 
A maior parte de seguidores encontra-se nos países árabes do Oriente Médio e do norte da África
Religião monoteísta. Crê na existência de apenas um Deus, Alá ou Allah (Deus em árabe).
Criada pelo profeta Maomé,  doutrina  encontra-se no livro sagrado, o Alcorão ou Corão. Foi fundada na região da atual Arábia Saudita.
Vida do profeta Maomé
Muhammad (Maomé) era da tribo de coraich e nasceu na cidade de Meca no ano de 570. Filho de uma família de comerciantes, passou parte da juventude viajando com os pais e conhecendo diferentes culturas e religiões. 
Aos 40 anos, de acordo com a tradição, recebeu a visita do anjo Gabriel que lhe transmitiu a existência de um único Deus. 
A partir deste momento, começa sua fase de pregação. Encontra grande resistência e oposição. As tribos árabes seguiam até então uma religião politeísta, com a existência de vários deuses tribais.
Maomé começou a ser perseguido e teve que emigrar para a cidade de Medina no ano de 622. Este acontecimento é conhecido como Hégira e marca o início do calendário muçulmano.
Em Medina, Maomé é bem acolhido e reconhecido como líder religioso. Consegue unificar e estabelecer a paz entre as tribos árabes e implanta a religião monoteísta. 
Ao retornar para Meca, consegue implantar a religião muçulmana que passa a ser aceita e começa a se expandir pela península Arábica.
Reconhecido como líder religioso e profeta, faleceu no ano de 632. Porém, a religião continuou crescendo após sua morte.
Livros Sagrados e doutrinas religiosas
O Alcorão ou Corão reúne as revelações que o profeta Maomé recebeu do anjo Gabriel. Dividido em 114 capítulos (suras). Entre tantos ensinamentos contidos, destacam-se:     Onipotência de Deus (Alá). - Importância de praticar a bondade - Generosidade e justiça no relacionamento social. 
O Alcorão registra tradições religiosas, passagens do Antigo Testamento judaico e cristão.
Os muçulmanos acreditam na vida após a morte e no Juízo Final, com a ressurreição de todos os mortos.
Povo Muçulmano. História construída com trabalho, dignidade, honestidade, respeito e dedicação às suas crenças.

The Muslim religion has been growing in the last years.

Most of followers are in the Arab countries of the Middle East and of the north of Africa. 
Religion monoteísta. It believes in the existence of only a God, Allah or Allah (God in Arab).
Created by the prophet Maomé, doctrine is in the sacred book, the Koran or Corão. It was established in the region of current Saudi Arabia.
Life of the prophet Maomé
Muhammad (Maomé) was of the tribe of coraich and it was born in the city of Mecca in the year of 570. Son of a family of traders, passed part of the youth traveling with the parents and knowing different cultures and religions.

While returning for Mecca, it manages to introduce the Muslim religion that starts to be accepted and begins to expand for the Arabic peninsula.
Recognized like religious leader and prophet, it died in the year of 632. However, the religion continued crescendo after his death.
Sacred books and religious doctrines
The Koran or Corão joins the revelations that the prophet Maomé received of the angel Gabriel. Divided in 114 chapters (palm juices). Between so many contained teachings, they stand out: God's omnipotence (Allah). - Importance of practicing the kindness - Generosity and justice in the social relationship. 
The Koran registers religious traditions, passages of the Ancient Jewish and Christian Will.
The Muslims believe in the life after the death and in the Day of Judgement, with the resurrection of all the dead men.
